FHS Billing and Collection Services – Throughout its 25+ year history, FHS has developed relationships with many different third party payors who administer and pay claims for non-medical in-home care. We work with many long term care insurance companies, state and federal agencies (e.g. state agencies on aging and the Veterans Administration), and not-for-profit organizations (e.g. the Multiple Sclerosis Society). By doing so, FHS knows the best ways to submit and deliver claims to, and collect payments from, these third party payors in accordance with their individual policies and procedures. FHS’ experience with and knowledge of these third party payors enables us to make the claims administration, billing, and collection processes more cost effective and efficient for all of our customers. FHS Payment Services – If you are receiving non-medical in-home care or are responsible for someone who is, or if you are a provider of non-medical in-home care, you know how time consuming it can be to review the paperwork submitted by your caregivers and to issue payments to those caregivers and, if applicable, their home care company, for the care provided. FHS can help simplify and streamline your caregiver payment process. If you are an FHS customer using our payment services, FHS will receive and process your caregiver’s weekly time sheets and issue payments to your caregivers and, if applicable, their home care company, for the care provided. FHS will make payments to your caregivers within 24 hours after it receives all required documentation and time slips and will cover these costs for you pending its receipt of reimbursement costs from your FHS EasyPay account or third party payor, as applicable. Once FHS receives this monthly pre-payment it will, on a weekly basis, review caregiver time slips and pay all caregiver and home care company fees, and provide the care recipient with a monthly summary of all services received by him/her. FHS will also prepare 1099s annually for all applicable caregivers. Setting up an FHS EasyPay account is fast and easy. FHS accepts payments from its EasyPay customers by personal check, major credit card and automatic ACH transfer. If you would like to learn more about our FHS EasyPay service, please contact us at tanya@fhsbillings.com.

FHS Factoring Service – Factoring is a financial transaction where a business sells its accounts receivable to a third party (a “factor”) at a discount. FHS has been factoring non-medical home care receivables for more than 25 years. For most of our customers, this factoring service is combined with our billing and collection and payment services. For those of you that do not need FHS to pay your caregivers directly (if you are an agency, for example), FHS offers the FHS Factoring Service. Non-medical in-home care providers using the FHS Factoring Service will continue to pay its caregivers directly, but will forward all caregiver time slips and associated notes to FHS for review. FHS will review these documents to ensure that the claim is payable and will advance the non-medical in-home care provider the amount the provider paid to its caregivers for the care provided – typically 68-70% of the claim. FHS will then bill the third party payor for the claim and upon FHS’ receipt of payment from the third party payor, will remit 20-22% of the claim to the non-medical in-home care provider and keep the remainder as its fee. Non-medical in-home care providers using the FHS Factoring Service will receive 68-70% of their care receivables within 1 week after the care was provided, rather than waiting 45-60 days to receive payment for claims filed on their own. By doing this, FHS essentially funds the caregiver payments for non-medical in-home care providers using the FHS Factoring Service. FHS also takes care of billing third party payors and chasing down payments for its FHS Factoring Service customers, freeing them up to do what they do best – providing care. Additionally, since the third party payors pay FHS’ factoring fees and discounts, using the FHS Factoring Service costs it FHS Factoring Service customers nothing!
